What is the Scholar Evangelist series about?
The Scholar Evangelist is the person who knows a lot, but wants to get better at sharing what they know. This conversation is with a Scholar Evangelist who has discovered the skills of hearing and discovery in the most unlikely place: in the stories that lay underneath tattoos! Join us for this discussion and see how Evangelize Today Ministries is teaching people to hear so they can share God’s presence and love with others.
Paul Hahn is the coordinator for Mission to North America. MNA is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America that works to plant and revitalize churches in the US and Canada.
Dieter Paulson is the church planting pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Scottsboro, Alabama. He and his wife Marty are three years into planting a church in a rural town in Appalachia. Dieter is a second-year resident of Evangelize Today and has been working on the research and discoveries surrounding planting a church from scratch, what he has called “Build a Parish, Build a Church”. Part of his parish calling is as part-time Executive Director for Turning Point Pregnancy Center in Scottsboro. He sees the men and women who find themselves in unplanned pregnancies as part of his parish he pastors along with the unborn children they carry. Dieter and Marty have four children, three girls (20, 14, and 12) and a boy (19).
